Getting Started
Once you've understand the basics of flight training, and decide that a part 61 flight school is best for you, give us a call and set up a Discovery Flight, where you can go flying with a flight instructor for half an hour and discover whether flying is something you really want to persue or not.
You will be required to have a third class medical before you can solo. Before you can recieve your license, you have to take a knowledge test. We do not offer a ground school, but we do have available private pilot home study guides. If you should choose this method, you can study on your own and take a knowledge test with the FAA or FAA designee. Central Oregon Community College occasionally offers a ground school class. From time to time weekend ground school classes are offered in the Portland area. After receiving your knowledge test report, you have two years to complete your check ride with the FAA or FAA designee.
